WKN WORLD OFFICE SUSPEND HIS ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY !

AFTER THE ACCIDENT IN ERGEN RING ATESI 13 IN THE CITY OF VAN , WKN WORLD OFFICE AND WORLD DIRECTORS HAVE DECIDED TO SUSPEND ALL WKN ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY UNTIL A SOLUTION WILL BE PROPOSE BY THE TURKISH KICKBOXING FEDERATION , THE MINISTER OF SPORT AND PROMOTER M. ORHAN ERGEN .

To be NOTED : TURKISH FIGHTER M. ERHAN DENIZ IS NOT ALLOWED ANYMORE TO FIGHT IN ANY WKN EVENT ALL AROUND THE WORLD .

M. YIGIN OSMAN , THAT REPRESENT OFFICIALLY TURKEY ALL AROUND THE WORLD IS AT THE MOMENT IN SOME MEETING TO FINALIZE SOME POSSIBLE NEW AGREEMENTS .

MESSAGE FROM WKN WORLD OFFICE :

” Regarding the problem extra sportive that took place in the latest edition of Ergen Ring Attest 13 in the city of Van on 14 of august 2010 where WKN representative of TURKEY for all the world and official supervisor of this show , Mr. Osman Yigin , had to face an unsupportive and inexplicable situation ( in a very dangerous and unsecure position ) after the WKN World championship between Erhan DENIZ ( TURKEY ) and Slavo POLUGIC ( SWITZERLAND ) ; WKN World office together with the WKN World directors have decided to suspend on an unlimited period the WKN activities in Turkey until a meeting will be organized between a WKNrepresentative , the Turkish Kickboxing federation and a representative of the Turkish sport minister .

WKN has been active in TURKEY since more than 3 years now and has supported on the highest level the promotion ERGEN RING ATESI ( 12 editions were promoted without any problems ) , his promoter M. Orhan ERGEN and many Turkish sportsmen like Adem BOZKURT , Erkan VAROL , Seyda DUYGUN AYGUN , Ali LAKAYIS…..

This decision was not easy to take as we consider TURKEY as an important partner for WKN , with a high level on sport education and what happen this week end in the city of VAN has give about TURKEY a very negative image to the world sport and his whole community “

ABC Annual Convention Update

This year’s annual convention of the Association of Boxing Commissions held at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans concluded last evening.

During this week’s convention overseen by ABC President Tim Luekenhoff of Missouri , the following MMA related matters were addressed:

This past Saturday, Yves Lavigne conducted a full day’s referee seminar.

This past Sunday, Nelson Hamilton
conducted an eight hour judging seminar.

On Monday, Hamilton gave a two hour presentation on his half-point scoring system.

JT Steele and Jeremy Lappen spoke regarding their amateur sanctioning organization, CAMO.

On Tuesday, Stitch Duran gave a demonstration on hand wrapping and gloving.

On Wednesday, John Mc Carthy gave a detailed presentation on fouls and submissions.

Also on Wednesday-

Mario Mendez of the Amateur Pankration League spoke on pankration tournaments.

Jason Neff of MMA Ally spoke about his website and its goals.

Dr. Sheryl Wulkan gave a detailed presentation on pre-fight medical testing and exams, the need for standardized medical testing, common injuries, unusual medical issues, MRSA and weight cutting.

Nick Lembo announced the names of referees and judges whose training courses have been reviewed and approved.

Nick Lembo spoke about the need for Commissions to regulate and oversee amateur mixed martial arts.

Nick Lembo updated the ABC on the status of the Muay Thai committee.
