Maple Shade, NJ (November 25, 2013). Strikezone Promotions of New Jersey is pleased to host the next installment of The Strikers’ Cup, it’s 10th NJSACB-sanctioned amateur Muay Thai event. The Muay Thai showdown, featuring some of the up and coming amateur talent in the tri-state region, will take place Friday, December 13, 2013, at the NJ Convention & Expo Center located at 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison NJ (right off exit 10 of the NJ Turnpike). The sanctioned bouts are scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. (ET).

The night will feature local fighters from the region’s top Muay Thai and MMA gyms including: Five Points Fitness, Tiger Schulmann MMA, Girl Fight MMA, Iron Bound Fight Club, Daddis Fight Camps, Knockout Fitness, Stratford MMA, Atlantic City MMA and others. In the past we’ve held Class B amateur fights, but earlier this year we had our first Class A amateur championship bout (full rules Muay Thai with use of elbows and knees to the head) between John Nofer of Sitan Gym (Pa) and Yuyoung Cho of Five Points Fitness. Nofer won the championship with a 3rd round TKO. The introduction of Class A level competition thrilled the audience and left an amazing impression on our event. We look to capitalize on that excitement in our next show.

A full 10-12 bout fight card bouts will be formally announced shortly.

Doors at the Convention Center will open at 7:30 p.m. EST and the first preliminary card bout will begin at 8:30 p.m.

The event will be broadcast on the GO FIGHT LIVE telecast.
