The 31-year old Brazilian fighting superstar Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre is the former World Muay Thai Council (WMC) intercontinental champion, It’s Showtime Champion and WMC/S1 Champion. He fights out of the famed Blackzilians training camp in Boca Raton, Florida and is a three-sport professional athlete, fighting in MMA, boxing and Muay Thai. He stands undefeated in boxing and is riding a five-fight win streak as a professional mixed martial artist. On September 20, Alexandre returns to the Lion Fight ring for this full rules Muay Thai mega-fight against Nampon.
“I love Muay Thai and am honored to headline Lion Fight 11 against Nampon, one of the toughest guys in the sport,” said Alexandre. “This fight will not go to a decision. I’m training hard with my team, the Blackzilians, and expect to knock everyone out with my performance September 20.”
The 23-year old native of Thailand, Nampon, is a two-time WMC Champion (147 lbs. and 135 lbs.) and Rajadamnern Stadium Champion. He is known for his aggression, unorthodox switch stances and ultra-technical approach. He possesses a dangerous left-kick and often controls the fight by setting pace and stalking down his opponents.
“I’m honored to fight Cosmo Alexandre and to headline Lion Fight 11,” said Nampon. “This will be my first time ever fighting for American fight fans. I am going to bring everything I have ever learned in the sport of Muay Thai against Cosmo September 20.”
In Lion Fight 11’s co-main event, American Muay Thai star Kevin Ross will square off against former WBC Muay Thai Japan Champion Tetsuya Yamato.
Lion Fight will hold events free and open to the public the week leading up to LION FIGHT 11 including fighter autograph signings, a public press conference and weigh-in event. Details, fighters and more bouts for LION FIGHT 11 will be announced in coming weeks.
