"Once Bitten, Twice Shy”, Tomonori, Right

JAPANESE BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
TOMONORI OF OGUNI IN TOKYO, JAPAN
VS.
SHIMANCHU OF MAKI GYM IN OKINAWA, JAPAN

Tomonori made first contact with a flurry of punches in combination with right low kicks. Shimanchu seemed to think it would be best to bottle lightening. Taking a hold of Tomonori’s neck, the lightening bolts came from his knee.
“Once bitten, twice shy.” In the 2nd Round, Tomonori prowled the perimeter of Shimanchu’s grasp. He came only close enough to make contact with a straight left body shot. Shimanchu unleashed a bolt but his right knee didn’t go full depth. Tomonori’s combination of punches transitioning to a right low kick put a hurt on Shimanchu.
Shimanchu came out of the corner in Round 3 to snare Tomonori in the clinch. Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. Shimanchu’s knee kicks got their wish, but he was poorer for stamina in the exertion of grappling. When Shimanchu lost his balance, Tomonori’s right knee clipped him on the chin. Tomonori followed with a right low kick transitioning to a front kick then he went power punching. As Shimanchu cocked the trigger on a right low kick, Tomonori s right cross stopped him in his tracks.

WINNER: Tomonori by KO at 2:16 of Round 3
